Hi all guys, today I set up the plugin using an already paypal business account. I followed the connect wizard steps as usual.
Now, I see in PayPal Card Processing tab the following message:
“Credit Card processing for your account has not yet been activated by PayPal. If your account is new, this can take some days. Otherwise, please get in contact with PayPal.”
Considering I created the PayPal Rest API App today, how much time does it take to get onboarded? Do we have an idea about that?

maybe you contact PayPal because we can see or have access to any PayPal customer accounts. We cant see the current status.

    Have a nice day

    Hi @aweissinpsyde

Sorry but I didn’t get. I see following message in the plugin settings tab: “Credit Card processing for your account has not yet been activated by PayPal. If your account is new, this can take some days. Otherwise, please get in contact with PayPal.”
What does “some days” mean? What PayPal is going to do in these days?
I used an old business account (which already has apps associated). I only created a dedicated one for the new integration.

    Thanks in advance,
    Have a nice day.
    Regards.

    Hello @madasoftware2021

sorry, but we don’t have any access to the PayPal customer account so we can’t see what’s going on. I would highly recommend contacting PayPal and ask them.

    Thank you
    Regards

Hi, here below the PayPal Tech Support response:

    ————————————————————————————–

Card payments are already enabled for all PayPal Standard products. On the other hand, there are PayPal products that require an enabling, such as PayPal PRO or PayPal Commerce Platform.

In your case I see that you have enabled PayPal Commerce Platform on the your account so the plugin should not give that message. Plugins are code developed by third parties, not PayPal, that perform certain procedures using PayPal’s methods. In this case it seems that the plugin checks your account and does not see PayPal Commerce Platform enabled. I suggest the following:

    1) Verify that the plugin is really a plugin for PayPal Commerce Platform (which I see being active on your account) and not for other PayPal products that are not enabled on your account

    2) Check that you are activating the plugin for your account on which Commerce Platform is active

    3) Check that all the information for PayPal Commerce Platform on your account has been provided, once you have logged in to the account you want to use you can click on the two links below as they check that all the necessary information is present in the your account, if they are not, they require:

    https://www.paypal.com/policydashboard/process/compliance/mdc
    https://www.paypal.com/policy/hub/kyc

    3) Check with the plugin developer what kind of check their procedure does to return that error

Can you please help me addressing the proper reply?

    Thanks.

In addition I see a lot of request with following URL that went wrong on PayPal developer dashboard, into the Live API Call section:

    /v1/customer/partners/K8SKZ36LQBWXJ/merchant-integrations/XUS3Z4P5TZ7F4

Are these kind of requests generated by the plugin in use?

    Thanks

    Hello @madasoftware2021

please check your entered data and try to reconnect the plugin again. The plugin should work fine and it seems currently only you have this kind of issue with the onboarding process. If that would be a bug in the plugin nobody would be able to use it.

There may be an issue on your site. Can you also check if the server blocks the PayPal IP addresses using a firewall or a WordPress security plugin?

Can you try the sandbox mode please to see if this is working?

    Have a nice day
    Regards
    Andreas

I see same error message on plugin side while switching to sandbox account. I checked sandbox credit card payment (no PayPal account) and it worked.
Instead leveraging live account it didn’t work.

Just to add a bit, with same site, same hosting it works with different accounts. So the question is: is there any specific paypal account requirements on plugin side? It is a paypal business account and seems to be properly configured to be integrated with commerce platform.
I both used “connect to paypal” button and manual settings but nothing changed.

    Hi @madasoftware2021,

There are no specific requirements to onboard to the PayPal Payments plugin.
Certain features such as PayPal Card Processing (alternative credit card method) may require a completed business registration and are limited to certain regions.
But apart from that, you should be able to onboard with every regular PayPal Merchant account.
If you have issues connecting one account but not another one, then it might be good to additionally reach out to the PayPal support so they can check the standing of the account.
Otherwise, if you reach out to our internal support, we can try to connect some accounts that are confirmed to work as a test.
    Thanks!

    Kind regards,
    Niklas

Hi Niklas, just to understand, what are the regions for which is possible to enable PayPal Card Processing? Thanks.

    (@niklasinpsyde)

    Hi @madasoftware2021,

PayPal Card Processing should be available for these merchant countries/currencies, but there might be special cases (I think Canada will be supported soon):
    https://developer.paypal.com/docs/business/checkout/reference/currency-availability-advanced-cards/
Also, it’s important that the store location in WooCommerce matches the location of the PayPal account. I hope this helps!

    Kind regards,
    Niklas
