I’ve just noticed that the price for my English ebook is incorrect! I can’t change it because it’s locked!

I’m using woocommerce for Germanized which may be a problem as it automatically at some point in time, changed to the German price.

But, the price is locked which means to me, it’s something else. I should be able to change my prices. HOW?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @jesslohm,

I’ve performed some cross-testing for us today on several of my sites which have the latest versions of WordPress, WooCommerce and our free Storefront theme as the only enabled software. When doing so I’ve not been able to replicate the behaviour which you describe with prices on a default installation of WooCommerce being locked and un-editable.

From what you describe it sounds as though a third-party plugin that is installed on your site is altering the functionality of WooCommerce and preventing you from editing prices. It could be the Germanized plugin that you mentioned that is causing this behaviour.

To see if that is the case we’d suggest carrying out a conflict test on your site by disabling all other plugins aside from WooCommerce along with switching to a theme like Storefront. This will help with trying to and locate what software you have installed which could possibly be causing this behaviour? You could use a free plugin called Health Check and Troubleshooting to carry out such testing.

When in Troubleshooting mode all plugins will be deactivated and only the admin of the site carrying out the troubleshooting would see those changes. Any customers visiting the site would see no changes at all.

Once you have disabled all other plugins and switched theme if the behaviour is resolved you can then enabled your theme and sites plugins testing after each one is enabled until the behaviour returns to locate the culprit.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can reopen it again if you need be.

Sorry Stuart, I never replied back. ?? The problem is not resolved, not in the least, but I don’t want to switch to another theme nor solve my existing problems by adding more plugins, so I’m trying to figure this out with woocommerce Germanized.

That said, this may just be a misunderstanding on my part.

I have a digital version of my book in 2 languages. So basically, it’s 2 different products with 2 different prices.

However, I want people to toggle if they want both versions or the EN instead of the DE or vice versa. This isn’t uncommon.

Maybe it’s not allowed to have a connected translation of different products with different prices. I’ve just now also asked this question in the Germanized and WooCommerce Multilingual Support pages.

    Thank you.
