    Hi,
    I have a WooCommerce store selling only digital products. Before, while using PayPal Standard, the purchase had been set to ?completed“ automatically once the payment has been completed.

    Now, using PayPal Checkout, purchases will be set ? waiting for processing“ instead. How can I change this back to completed?
    For now, I returned to PayPal Standard as workaround.

    Hi @andioh,

    I understand that, when orders are placed using PayPal Checkout, the order status isn’t updating the Completed and is instead remaining in pending status. This happens when the Instant Payment Notification isn’t being received from PayPal. I recommend working through the points here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/paypal-standard/#debugging-ipn-issues

    Thanks for your reply. With PayPal Standard it‘s working and for PayPal Checkout I couldn‘t find any options for IPN.
    In the purchase itself I see the message ?Payment received“. It rather seems that the plugin handles digital products like physical ones. I‘ll check the link you posted and report back.

    Hey @andioh,

    To clarify what is going on here, it sounds like the site https://andreas-reitberger.de/ sells virtual items. When using PayPal Standard, the order would move to Completed when finished. After moving to PayPal Checkout, the virtual orders go to Processing instead of Completed. It should be moving to Completed if all the products are virtual.
