Inclusive Order Splitting

    After Changing Order Split Settings into ” Inclusive ” when i try to separate 2 products from a parent order inside the order page, it ends up create 2 separate orders ” as the default settings “.

    Appreciate if you share a step by step guide or video on how the inclusive order settings works since i tried everything and it splits the items that are highlighted into multiple orders instead of combining them into 1 single new order.

  • @thegeekeg try with “Remove items from parent order on split“. You will find this option under optional area on general settings tab.

    @jonathan972 The problem is not in the parent order, its in the new generator orders, when i select 2 items, it should create a new order including those 2 new items, but what it does is it creates 2 new orders for each item. Its like i am using Default settings instead of inclusive !!!

    @thegeekeg when “Remove items from parent is turned on, inclusive items will be splitted in a new order and will be removed from parent order. In this case it will create only one sub-order/child-order. See the screenshot for both cases.

    @fahadmahmood I am a bit confused what you want me to do ? But if it will make it easier for you, i can record the whole cycle for you and share it with a link? will that work for you?

    Hello Fahad,

    After reviewing your recent link ” https://ibulb.wordpress.com/2021/04/05/auto-split-vs-manual-split/ ” it seems thats why the manual order splitting inside the order itself it seems not working since its not following the general settings rules, question is right now: Can we make the manual splitting from inside the order work using the rules?

    For example if i have a processing order with Item A,B,C , we want to create/split a new order that has A,B and leave the old order having C since C is not yet ready, but we want to Ship A,B in a new order.

    How can we achieve this result?

    @thegeekeg we are testing your scenario. You will be informed with new version if it does not work. In the recent release, previous issues are resolved.

    @jonathan972 Thanks Jonathan for your prompt response, this is the exact issue i posted in the beginning of the thread, i think it would be helpful if we follow the settings rules in terms of manual order splitting, what we are aiming for is the above scenario by splitting items in a new order and keeping the rest in the same old order. Looking forward to your response once you test my scenario.

    @thegeekeg after reading your initial post about inclusive method and split action through edit order page, I realized that you are requesting a new functionality in fact. At this moment, edit order page gives you an option to split by selection. But you want to use rules here. I am closing this ticket because it is not a bug report but a new feature/functionality request. Please be with us, soon we will release a new version with this feature.

    Ideally on selection of “Split” from the dropdown, you will see a toggle button to switch between selection and splitting rules. If you will choose rules, it will work with rule else it will keep working as now. We appreciate your patience.
