Change user meta key locale on PolyLang language change

  • I want to hook into PolyLang each time a user changes the language of the website to set it into his user meta key.

    I found this action/hook exists, but I’m not sure if (and how) I can use it?
    ‘pll_update_language’

    Also, I want this order to be applied:
    – Use user metakey locale if set (& connected)
    – Use polylang cookie setting if not
    – Detect browser language if either fails

    Is this behaviour possible ?
