Global Private Files/Pages + Missing File Download

    Hello,

    A few questions/comments/observation:

    1. Why does every private file/page have to be assigned to an individual?
    2. Why can’t more than one person be assigned to a single file/page?
    3. Why can’t a file/page that is private, yet unassigned be visible to all subscribers from the dashboard?
    4. When viewing a private file detail page, the link to download the attached file is missing. How does a user access a private attached PDF or XLS for example?

    Hi,

    1/2/3 – content is private, so it must be assigned. Base plugin only allows to assign to a single user. However you have various addons to allow assigning content to something else.

    For example, ? additional owner types ? allows assignment to several users, WordPress roles, user groups. ? Projects ? allows assigning to projects, etc.

    4 – It should be visible. Either your theme is hiding it or you have selected the setting to hide private file footer/header in the private files settings tab.
