Lovely theme! How are styles organized?

    Hi Elma (yes both of you;),

    I love this theme and am curious to watch it to continue to grow. It seems a great balance between best practices, block approach, and minimal styling.

    I am a newbie so I apologize for the question… what is the best way for me to understand the ‘logic’ behind how styles are organized within the theme? Trying to layer my own customizations in a child and am starting to pick up on global variables etc… I would love to know what I can tap into to make my customization more “coherent” with your logic. Which css and/or php files should I read to find such things?

    Hi Rick,

    thank you so much for your kind feedback. We are so happy that you like our design and theme approach.

    I’m actually just working on a simplified version of our style system. It will come in the next theme update. We are preparing for the Global Styles update which we plan to support soon.

    Regarding the folders, the variables.sass file in the assets/sass/1base folder is the best start. Again, it’s a bit of a work in progress at the moment and we will change the current SASS variables into CSS variables.

    Thank you Ellen, that is a big help!

    I see --global--max-content-width: 93rem which restricts grid content width on large screens. I should be able to add an @media statement to override that for a grid within a cover block, no?

    Hi Carlos,
    I’m so sorry that I missed to reply to you. We will add further options to the Grid block soon to make it more flexible. Then you will be able to reset the max-width restriction.
