    Hello team,
I have installed Google SiteKit for analytics but it is not tracking my site. I have reconnected/authorized many times (using incognito as well) but no luck.

The setting seems to complete, says “snippets is inserted”

Please have a look and let me know if I am missing something here.

    Regards,
    Sanjeeva

Thanks for opening a support topic, hopefully we can assist. From inspecting your site and making use of https://tagassistant.google.com I can see your Analytics tracking snippets are firing.

If you’re checking the Analytics real time report can you ensure you’re visiting your site while not logged in to ensure your own test visit is being tracked? By default the Site Kit Analytics configuration doesn’t count logged in users, although this can be changed. You will find the settings under “Site Kit > Settings > Connected Services > Analytics > Edit”, all from within your WordPress dashboard.

Let me know if you have any more questions on this.

    Hey @jamesosborne

Thank you very much for your response and I am surprised to see that the tracking is working.

Something happen or something had happen.

During whole April it did not worked. I tried to re-attached/configure it many times even with in-cognito but it did not work.

Also I am facing this issue second time. First time it started working after re-connect but after few days, it stopped.

Not sure if this info will help you understand the issue I faced.

    Thank you for your support.

    Hi Sanjeeva,

While I’m unsure what was occurring your site seems to have Analytics setup fine at present. When you mention it wasn’t working were you using the real time report or were the numbers not matching your Analytics dashboard?

    Hello @jamesosborne,

My Bad. I missed to mention.

When I am saying tracking, I mean all metrices including….. hits/per day, aggregated hits for months till date etc.

    Thank you

No problem at all. Are you saying the statics are wrong or you are not seeing any data for the dashboards that Site Kit does provide? I’ll need to know more on this to determine is there is an issue to investigate. At present it is tracking and reporting fine.

Site Kit doesn’t display all the information which you can find on Analytics directly – via analytics.google.com. You’ll find more information on what Site Kit provided on the plugin website.

    okay. Let me explain again:

    1. At present it is tracking i.e. working fine.

    2. in Past:
    a. I used to use gtag code to track and was working very fine. One bad day it stopped working.

    b. Then I tried with g-sitekit, it worked for only few days and stopped working again.

    c. I tried multiple time to re-connect (in incognito as well) but did not worked.

    d. I raised issue with wordpress, but some how it did not worked.

    e. They suggested to raise issue with g-sitekit. I raised this ticket and you ping me that it is working.

This is all stories. Hope this explains

Many thanks for the update, excellent summary! You’re Analytics snippet is indeed recording visits as expected, so I can’t be sure of what occurred previously.

To be sure you’re visits are bring tracked on your site you could use the Analytics real time report, while visiting your site as a non logged in user.

I’m happy to keep this support topic open while you check if you wish.

No problem at all, happy to help. I’ll close the topic now.

If you have any further queries going forward be sure to reach out. And as it sounds like you’ve been using Site Kit for a while we’d love to hear how you’re finding the plugin if you have a moment free.
