  • In Windows 7 there are two versions of Internet Explorer 8, and it depends which version you are using as to whether you can see the slideshow working or whether you get just the gallery pictures.

    One version of IE8 is 32 bit and the other is 64 bit. Both work on Windows 7 64 bit operating system. But only the 32 bit version will show the slideshow working.

    You should be able to find the 32 bit version on your computer at C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\InternetExplorer\iexplore.exe

    The 64 bit version is at C:\ProgramFiles\InternetExplorer\iexplore.exe

    The real problem is that although you can change the IE8 version to view the slideshow your web visitors won’t know how to cure the problem. Only Adobe will be able to do that and they have known about the problem since Vista arrived and still have not done anything about it!

    Pity there isn’t something better than Adobe Flash that the slideshow can utilise.
