I’ve been running a WooCommerce site for a couple of years now. I noticed a few months ago that Apple Pay is now only working when I load the page in a Private Browsing window.

I have tested this on multiple networks, using multiple Macs and iPhones. In every case the Apple Pay option appears in a private browsing window, but does not appear in a regular browser window.

I’m not sure when this stopped working properly. It definitely worked normally 2 years ago when I set it up. Other than patching the site and maintaining new orders, nothing significant has changed. I re-checked all of the Stripe plugin settings, and the settings on Stripe’s site, and everything is as it should be.

The link above is an example. All product pages exhibit this issue.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hey there!

I took a look at the site and it looks like there’s some kind of JavaScript that is preventing the button from loading in. The place where the Apple Pay button will load still has the placeholder text saying “a Stripe element will be inserted here”.

This kind of problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.
    ?
The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.
