403 error accessing Admin Panel but Wordfence sends email confirming Admin Login
-
Linux Red Hat / WordPress 5.5.4 / Wordfence 7.5.2
I’ve being fighting the 403 error when trying to access the Admin panel:
403 Forbidden
Access to this resource on the server is denied!Sometimes it disappears but I haven’t been able to find a reason. What I’ve done:
– Clear browsing data (Cookies & other site data, cache)
– Delete/recreate .htaccess
– Folder/files permissions to 755/644 (Filezilla)
– Deactivate plugins renaming Plugins folder and activating 1 by 1
– Delete wp-content/advanced-cache.phpEven when 403 error occurs, mail is received indicating access to the Admin panel was successful:

The Wordfence administrative URL for this site is: https://the-site.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=Wordfence
A user with username “xxx” who has administrator access signed in to your WordPress site.Clicking on the link takes to the Wordfence page and from there you can go to any Admin panel menu. If you close the Admin panel and try to login the error occurs again
Thanks in advance
