Comments disappeared

  • I updated to WordPress 5.7.1 and all comments have disappeared. The posts still say “X comments to” this post. Discussion settings are unchanged. People can still post new comments, they just don’t show up. Is there any reason why updating WordPress would make the comments disappear?
