Need help configuring for use with Outlook 365

    I am needing assistance configuring this to work with Outlook 365. I run a test and nothing ever comes through to the email I input in the To field.

    I have the following fields completed with:

    From Email Address: The Outlook email in question
    From Name: Checked box for ‘Force Name Replacement’
    Reply-To Email Address: Left blank
    BCC Email Address: Left blank
    SMTP Host: smtp.office365.com
    Type of Encryption: SSL/TLS
    SMTP Port: 993
    SMTP Authentication: Yes
    SMTP Username: Email I use to log in
    SMTP Password: Password I use to log in

    Is there anything I’m missing here?

  • Hi, please enable Debug log and then carry out another test. Afterwards please check the log file. This should help you troubleshoot your issue.

    Done and no entries in the log file after two test attempts.

    I’m using Contact Form 7 on my website to generate and send messages and was recently told by the developer that some mail providers (like Gmail) no longer accept mails sent with phpmailer (the WordPress default one) so they recommended that I configure an SMTP to send mails. This is what brought me to your plugin.

    Yes I have and they don’t handle the server for email. It is handled through Outlook.

    Hi, please contact Outlook about this issue. If they can’t help you, can you test a different SMTP plugin here in the repository. I just want to confirm if it is our plugin or not the culprit.

    Type of Encryption: STARTTLS
    SMTP Port: 587
