This is more for feedback, as the Album page above is working well. However, I’d like to be able to add a few line of descriptive text as an introduction to each gallery within the album. I can’t see any way to do this but please let me know if there is.

Ideally this should appear under the gallery title when the viewer opens it, above the images. Similar to the caption and description I can enter for each image within the gallery.

I;m using your Responsive Album layout with each gallery being a Masonry Image gallery.

A second point is very minor. At the back end [ FooGallery / Galleries ] I notice each gallery has “Not Used!” in the usage column. Clearly they are used, as they are all in my album! Is there a way to fix this? It means the usage column has no meaning for anybody using Albums in their website.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    hi @silhouettist

These are great suggestions – thanks for much for reaching out.

WRT your first suggestion, a gallery description is something that has been asked for by others, and there is a way to get this working, but it requires some custom code. But I looked into it, and it is really simple to add, so this is what I have added to the plugin:

    1. In FooGallery Settings, under Albums, there is a new setting called “Enable Gallery Descriptions”. This is not enabled by default.
    2. When the above is enabled, when you edit a gallery, you will see a rich text editor under the gallery title that allows you to add all the descriptive text you need, including formatting etc.
    3. When using the Responsive Album Layout, and when viewing a gallery, if the gallery has a description, it will render it under the title.

Please note that this only works in the Responsive Album Layout at this time.

Then WRT your second point about the gallery usage. This was also quite easy to add, so now when a gallery is added to an album, the album will show in the usage column. Please note : this usage link is done behind the scenes when an album is saved, so it will only show up after you have saved an album.

These features will be in the next release, after it has been tested.
