domain registrar? name servers?

  • How do I find out who my domain registrar is? I registered using wordpress.com (add domain) paid for it and it is now adriancoomber.org. Since then I have got a proper wordpress account with plugins and all!

    I apparently need to ask my domain registrar…
    “What are my domains name servers and where do I set them properly?”

    I am really stumped here!

    Weird, two DNS questions in one morning…

    $ whois adriancoomber.org

Domain Name:ADRIANCOOMBER.ORG
Sponsoring Registrar:Wild West Domains, Inc.
Name Server:NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
Name Server:NS2.WORDPRESS.COM

    I removed the other bits from the output. No idea who Wild West Domains but looking up your NS records gets

    $ dig ADRIANCOOMBER.ORG ns

    The NS should match the WHOIS records (ns3 should be in whois as well) but it looks like Automattic is hosting your domain.
