I would like to youse The Events Calendar for a website in which for different companies (service providers) the delivery time in days (10 to 100 days) are shown as a range in a monthly calendar.
It would be perfect to show two or three months at the same time. The number of companies on my website is less than 250.
For each company there is one blog post including a custom field (or advanced custom field) which holds the numeric value of days for the date range. The date range always starts one day after today (= tomorrow) and is days long.

    I would like to show

    • a company specific calendar (displaying only one company’s date range) on each company blog post,
    • a company category (=industry) specific calendar on the category pages (showing the ranges for all companies in the category) and
    • a “custom” calendar on the main page in which the user can select the companies for which he wants to display the ranges.

    My questions are:

    • Can this be implemented with The Events Calendar without coding?
    • Would I need to have the paid version to use multiple variants (= different company selections) of the same calendar?
    • How would I implement that the calendar automatically updates the range for each company according to today’s date plus the number of days?

    Thank you very much!

  • Hi there, thanks for reaching out!

While we’re flattered that you thought of us, sadly our plugin is not going to work for your use case.

The main issue is probably the fact that our plugin doesn’t support multiple calendars. Even if it did support multiple calendars you would still need quite a bit of custom coding to make the rest work.

I’m sorry I don’t have better news. If you can’t find anything and need a custom solution we typically recommend codeable.io for finding WordPress developers.

Just as a followup, you can kind of make this work, if you have The Events Calendar Pro, which lets you use Shortcodes to display calendars.

You could make each company their own category, and display a calendar showing only a specific category using a shortcode.

This would give the appearance of having different calendars, even tho technically in the back end it’s all one category, you’re just choosing which data to show on each page using the shortcode.
