Gradient On Contain Background Image

I have a background image within a container. I had a gradient overlay applied but have removed it, switching off the slider.

I have enabled a solid background colour and changed the opp of the image to 80%

I have refreshed every cache known man, woman or beast but I can still see the linear gradient against the container / background img
