    Dear Support Team,

I have thoroughly read the article about how to configure Google Analytics 4 (https://complianz.io/configure-google-analytics-4-for-gdpr/).

I am just a bit confused about the “Anonymizing IP Address” section. If I add my GA tracking ID “G-XXXX” directly to the “Enter your tracking-ID” field of the plugin (in Wizard > Cookies > Statistics – configuration) and that I check the box “Always block acquiring of IP addresses” (in Wizard > Cookies > Statistics), is it enough to anonymize the IP?

    Many thanks for your help,

    Best,

    Hello @vincente56,

Yes, checking the “Always block acquiring of IP addresses” box is enough to anonymize IP addresses.

Note that checking the two remaining checkboxes (I have accepted the Google data processing agreement & Google is not allowed to use this data for other services) is equally important in order to comply with privacy legislation. So make sure to check these as well.

    Hope this clarifies. Kind regards,
    Jarno
