Active users in different channel in tabs

Hi,
I was hoping to build a chat page, with different sections corresponding to different channels. To do so, I chose a tab layout, and it works great. But I have just on problem :
when a user is on the page, he appears to be active in all of the chats in the tabs. Would there be a way to avoid this issue either by :
– Asking a user to join the chat by clicking a button before considering him to be actively in logged in the chat (couldn’t find this option in Wise chat settings)
– Using a tweak so that each tab would be considerate a different page until loaded (?)
– Changing the layout to avoid this issue

I already tried limiting the number of channels a user can join simultaneously, but it makes it impossible to join a single one.
