Pass custom variables via shortcode

Hello guys,

First of all, thanks a million for this plugin!

I am using it to insert content panels into template files. Some of these panels vary only in color, so id like to pass it as a variable in the shortcode. Is this possible? Im looking for something like this:

[insert page="page_id" display="template_file.php" public color="red"]
