I think I posted this in the wrong section first so I am re posting it here.

I am helping to complete the website at the following address: https://www.gccans.ca. I am running into an issue with the 3 column theme that is in use. I need to increase the width of the left column so that the names in the menu are not cut off. I have tried a number of different tweaks tot he CSS but am not able to find the proper section to edit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can see the sidebar_l class in the above code

the width given here is 200px, change that to some sensible value. A thing to note while you do so is whether the main container class “container” should be able to contain both sidebar widths+margins+the main block width.

Your container class is

You need to add the extra pixel count to 980px in the above class too.

I added 100 to each but the layout was suffering too much. I think I am going to have to try to wrap the text.

I saw it. One thing you have to note is that it is always better to put your sitemap in a seperate page checkout my blog

I would love to do the sitemap as a separate page but the client liked this design…so I am kind of married to it now. lol.

Also it would be much better if you use shorter page titles so tht they tend to stay inside the sidebar. The sidebar contains so many navigation links and seems over complex. It would be much better if you use

In my other post for this issue you posted the following code:

This is the part you want to edit 'overflow : WHATEVER'
```
I tried entering different figures for the overflow but it didn’t add the word wrapping.

Is what should I enter to get the text to wrap before trying to sell the use of the other plugin to them.

well overflow wont necessarily do the thing for you : https://www.w3schools.com/Css/pr_pos_overflow.asp

But try adding a display element to the style : https://www.w3schools.com/css/pr_class_display.asp

This along with the width defined for the div should wrap things up.
