• I’ve never posted a one-star review, because some bad reviews might be motivated for personal reasons. But I believe that in this case is justified, because we are talking about a paid plugin; i.e, everyone that has this plugin installed is paying for a service and this plugin is an extension of that previously paid service. And, from the moment you pay for a service, you are expected to get a certain quality standard. And Packlink is supposed to be one of the MVPs in the field.

    That said, I sadly have to say that the plugin consumes WAY TOO MUCH CPU resources. As you can read in one of the support threads, its performance is like there were 4000 users using your website daily. Every 4-5 seconds Packlink Pro launches one call to update the orders status tracking, the carrier prices, etc.

    Due to this reason, many webhosts are banning us from hosting our websites. It’s not fair that we users face the consequences of this plugin’s bad performance. Please fix this! Two calls per hour, the most. Or even better, include a feature to let users decide the frequency of update, according to their webhost plans.

    I’ll be more than happy to change my review once this get solved, but for now, I think it’s important that future users know what they might be facing if they activate this plugin. Packlink, make a move. Don’t let us down.

    ?Gracias por el aporte! Estoy monitoreando todos los posts relativos al problema del alto uso de CPU y Packlink no se pronuncia desde hace semanas (y cuando lo ha hecho, no ha aportado ninguna solución). Creo que solo nos queda esperar a una actualización que solucione este problema. Al igual que tú, también he desactivado el plugin, y estoy perdiendo ventas internacionales. Estoy muy descontento. En cuanto haya alguna novedad, volveré a citarte en algún post donde has intervenido para contarte novedades. ?ánimo, compa?ero!

    Thank you, Dani! I’ll do so! Anyway, the plugin urgently needs a fix for this, because this behaviour affects a lot of users. I hope they fix it soon! Once they’ll do it, I’ll be happy to change my review, provided it works as expected.
