Fatal Error When activating Stat Counter Update

  • Fatal error: Call to undefined function stats_get_option() in /home/content/58/5547258/html/wp-content/plugins/official-statcounter-plugin-for-wordpress/StatCounter-Wordpress-Plugin.php on line 37

    I can no longer log into my WP dashboard. There was a message telling me that there was a newer version of Statcounter, so I click on the activate button.

    Now all I get is the message above when trying to log into my WP account.

    I can see my webpage fine https://www.aproverbswife.com but can no longer log in. How can I fix this?

  • FTP into your site and rename the wp-content/plugins/official-statcounter-plugin-for-wordpress folder.
