Emojis are replaced by (ugly) images – How to stop this ?

Hi,
I’m new to wordpress and i’m having trouble with emojis
I type my article on computer (MAC), so i launch the special characters using key combination : ?-control-space
The thing is, the emojis i pick from the special characters editor, get replaced with svg images when saving the article
I have no problem with this, except the emojis loaded from w.org look bad (matter of taste)
