User Role with WP Permissions Can’t Access

    I’ve created my own user role of “Head” with all the correct WordPress permissions and the ability to add new users as “Subscribers” (these would be their own staff members).

    I’ve checked “can access WP admin” and made the admin bar visible
    Then under WP capabilities, check “create_users”

    The add new user option appears in the admin bar once logged in, but when clicked says “sorry you are not allowed to access this page”

    Any advise would be well received, thanks.

    Try adding the following capabilities to the Subscriber role to access the Add New User:
    – edit_users
    – read
    – delete_users
    – create_users
    – remove_users
    – list_users

    Thank you – just adding the “read” capability seemed to do the trick!
