    Hi,

    Thank you for this wonderfull plugin! I was trying to see if the xml_sitemap works. If I click on the link for it to open (in General/Functions), I get this error page (in Dutch):

    XML-parsefout: XML- of tekstdeclaratie niet aan begin van entiteit
    Locatie: https://www.vbga.nl/sitemap_index.xml
    Regelnummer 2, kolom 1:
    <?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”UTF-8″?><?xml-stylesheet type=”text/xsl” href=”//www.vbga.nl/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/css/main-sitemap.xsl”?>

    I already contacted my webhosts, but they told me it is a plugin error. Their xml-engine is working fine?

    What am I doing wrong?

    Hello,

    Thanks for reaching out.

    We can also confirm this error when we visit the XML sitemap index at https://www.vbga.nl/sitemap_index.xml

    error on line 2 at column 6: XML declaration allowed only at the start of the document

    This is caused by an empty whitespace or a blank line. An empty?whitespace or a blank line appears due to a conflict with another plugin or your theme. Usually, there is an empty space or a blank line before or after the closing PHP opening or closing tag, which shouldn’t be there.

    You can narrow down the exact source of conflict by performing a?conflict check. Once you have identified whether your theme or a plugin causes the issue, please contact?the developers of that theme or plugin for assistance in finding and removing the whitespace.

    Hi,

    Thanks! I deleted the child theme and re-installed it new, the problem was gone then ??

    Thanks!
