Hi and congratulations for your amazing CF7-GoogleSheet plugin.

I’m wondering about the security of the plugin. When I try to add it into my google account, it requeries me to allow it checking an viewing all my files in Google Drive. Is it this safe? How can I know you are not seeing all my private information?

    Thank you very much.

    Hello @davidsito

Thanks for asking the questions you have

For a security concern the plugin we use Google Sheet API Client Library just for authentication with your account. Where we save authentication token and Contact Form->Edit->Google Sheet settings data to your website database.

Also, Google provides a security check for a 3rd party app access which you can open from your account and check.

Also, you can check the permissions you have given under 3rd Party

Overall, we do not have any access or any type of permission to access or view any of the files, everything is handled with the help of API only provided by Google. So nothing to worry about, it’s 100% safe.

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions further.

    Thanks
    Abdullah

    Thanks a lot, Abdullah.

I was wondering because I checked the Google Security Check and I did not understand why the plugin needs Google Drive access. Now I get all it’s safe because of the direct-form connection using the API, and every data is only on my website.

    Nice job!

    Chears!
