    Hi,

My webhost have upgraded php on the server and the php team have depreciated a some of the old syntax.
So I get loads of depreciated warnings and I am not even able to log in and admin the WP.

I am trying to upgrade to WP 2.9 and in step 4 in the “Upgrading WordPress Extended” documentation it says that all plugins have to be deactivated. But as I said, cannot login to do that ??
The site have a gallery plugin and a theme activated.

Can I ignore this and go through with the upgrade?
I have ofc done a complete dump of the database and all files on the server.

    Cheers

you can ftp to site and rename /plugins folder
    this will deactivate all plugins
    upgrade
name the plugins folder back to normal
