Skip Publishing Individual Articles

Is there a way to prevent individual articles from being published if the option “Automatically publish to Apple News when published in WordPress” is set to on? The best I can do is check the article as preview/draft in its Apple News options, then manually delete it from Apple News. Is there a better way? Could there be an option to prevent specific articles from publishing?
