• I’ve had this strange issue on one of my WordPress sites where the post title in the Gutenberg editor is white, so I can only see what I wrote if I select it with my mouse. I tried turning off all my plugins and it’s still there.

    Here’s a screenshot

Do you guys know what might be causing this?

  • What WordPress theme are you using? Some themes add “editor” styles in order to make the editor look more like the final result when a post is published, but they may be creating a problem here…

You can try changing to a different theme (just to see if that fixes it).
If you’re into funny ways of checking stuff, then you could use a browser with built-in “developer tools” and try to analyze that title in the editor (hint: right-clik on it and find something like “inspect”) in order to see in what file the CSS to make the title white is located.

You’re right on both counts, it was indeed the theme (Generatepress premium) and I found the code that’s turning the post title white. Can’t believe I didn’t think of that. Thank you!

If it’s a theme that’s available here at www.remarpro.com, then you could post in the theme’s subforum in order to let the developer know that they could improve this detail ??
