• Took over management of a website for a client and their forms aren’t working. When sending, we get a message: “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.” It’s very general, I know, but has anyone else experienced the same message and if so, what was the cause?

It happens regardless of who we try to send the form to – the message just isn’t getting out or triggering the Thank You page.

  • Yep, getting this on two client sites. Wonder if it was the latest update?
Console is throwing up all kinds of recaptcha errors.

    There’s an issue with CF7 ver 5.4.

Roll back to 5.3.2 or earlier an try again.

We all wait patiently for answers from plugin dev.

Has there been a fix to this issue? I’m having it as well. Are you still running on 5.3.2?
If so, are you aware of a thread somewhere that show ‘how’ to roll back? I’ve seen high level ones that say remove or uninstall, reinstall, reconfigure…
To be honest, I’m wordpress challenged. I work with it VERY infrequently so it takes me forever to resolve issues like this. so pretty explicit instructions would be extremely helpful.
    Thanks in advance.

Having the same issue on one of my sites. Can’t see any reason why it’s suddenly showing an error message other than the update.

Deleting and then reinstalling the plugin fixed the problem. Now using Version 5.5.2 and forms can be submitted again with no errors.
