    What the title says – for some reason, if we have “Convert PNG images to JPEG” enabled in ShortPixel setting, and try replacing compressed JPEG media (original being a PNG) with another PNG file, it doesn’t work properly and doesn’t replace the original PNG used for conversions/compression, it only replaces the already converted/compressed JPEG file, and us running any sort of re-compression to get the updated file showing results in us actually getting the old file showing, no matter what we try.

    Can you look into this a bit and test it out on your end?

    Hey @crazyserb,

    Thanks for your message.

    To be honest, I’m not sure if I fully understood the issue. Would you mind recording the process for us or write a step by step with screenshots, please? I’d really appreciate it.

    Thank you!

    @sixaxis Here is what I mean, in a way:

    https://www.loom.com/share/a5e92aa17ac74d60aa879d13d536bb11

    Another variation on this problem is that when we upload the updated PNG somehow the original PNG in /ShortPixelBackups folder remains, and the resizing / compression is done off of the original PNG file previously uploaded, not the new one, somehow…

    It’s a bit of a mystery, really, as it seems to be doing something it’s not supposed to be doing in certain cases.

    Suggestions?

    I mean, I can’t look at the code directly and figure out what happens in each scenario, but even in my video above you can tell that the original PNG is not kept as a backup, for whatever reason…

    Thank you, @crazyserb.

    I was able to reproduce the issue. I’ll forward it to our developers and we’ll fix it as soon as possible.

    Thanks for reporting this!

    @sixaxis Thank you.

    Let me know if you still need the video for it or not (if I can remove it, for privacy purposes)?

    Sure, CrazySerb, you can remove it ??
