wpcf7_uploads/.htaccess failed to open stream

  • Hello,

    I am continuously getting this warning message on my website —
    Warning: fopen(/home/hp3-linc4-nfs2-z/261/1079261/user/htdocs/wp-content/uploads/wpcf7_uploads/.htaccess): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/customer/www/manchester-centralheatingflush.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/includes/file.php on line 247

    I don’t know how to fix it. I have tried hard but no success. Kindly help me solve the issue

    Make sure you have the wp-content/uploads/wpcf7_uploads directory. In the directory, there should be an invisible file .htaccess. If not, create it manually and put one line Deny from all into the file.

    Normally those directory and file are created automatically, but it may fail for any reason.

    Hey thanks Takayuki,

    There is no file named wpcf7_uploads in the uploads folder and hence no such directory. I tried finding it from the backup but I couldn’t.

    Could you help me to create the above directory you mentioned? I will then be able to added .htaccess file to it.

    I have create the directory wp-content/uploads/wpcf7_uploads and added .htaccess file also as you suggested but I still see the message.
    What could be the issue?
