    Hi @wood1e,

All logins to WooCommerce.com use the details of a WordPress.com user account. To login to WooCommerce.com using a different user account, you would first need to log out of your user account over at https://wordpress.com.

If you require some further assistance with accessing a WooCommerce.com customer account please reach out to the support team over at WooCommerce.com.

Do I have to login to the account with the wrong email address on it?

I am presuming they will know to answer using the correct email account, not the one that is on the profile?!!?

Also, why is it impossible to log out of Woocommerce.com? And when I do logout it automatically logs me back as a user, it doesn’t allow me to enter new or different user accounts?

It sounds like you have not as yet logged out of your WordPress.com account as advised above.

I am presuming they will know to answer using the correct email account, not the one that is on the profile?!!?

Please reach out to the team over at WooCommerce.com for further assistance with regards to WooCommerce.com accounts. They will be happy to assist and work with you to get logged into the account you wish to use.

I have reached out to your team and will log in at various times over the next couple of days, as I don’t have access to the email on my profile!!

Completely nonsensical that I can log in with one email and have a completely different email on my profile.

and as I don’t know what this email address is I have no idea what wordpress.com account to log out of… the WordPress account I have is this one! Which is the correct email account.

I have to say your woocommerce.com and wordpress.com login system is the most complicated and over developed I have ever come across!!

hopefully, your colleagues can fix this latest issue. It must be a security nightmare for your guys… well unless I am that unique to be the only person with some crossover/access to someone elses account!!

    Thanks for your responses.

I’m experiencing the same issue as the OP. I think it might be a Chrome cacheing issue. @wood1e are you using Chrome?

edit / update: I was able to fix this by logging out of a WordPress.com account that I hadn’t realized was logged into within the same browser. It would provide a better UX if there was a note on the Woo login page about this. Frustrating if you manage multiple accounts.

    Having the same issue.

Doing a website for a client and he has nothing to do with the other account that we end up being logged in to.

Tried logging out of Woocommerce and WordPress before logging in and it still doesn’t work.

How can we create a ticket if it’s on the wrong account?

To be honest, as well as clear system issue it’s probably a breach of GDPR

    What is the issue?

I apologises I know this is no help, but it is a nightmare, you have to log out of your wordpress.com account – I never knew I had one – then you can/should be able to log out of your WooCommerce.com account!!

    But it doesn’t work.

My only advice and possible solution is always use incognito then you should be able to login to whatever account you want.

Someone at wordpress.com is in a management role earning bucket loads of money to have come up with this complete mess of a login system!!

    Hi guys,
In my case, the account that WooCommerce was going to was connected “by accident” aka bad system UX to WordPress.com account just because I was logged in to WordPress.com account.
    All sorted now.
I raised the ticket on the wrong account and asked the support team to contact me using a different email address, which they did.

Quite unfortunate to hear about the experience @alexshmetkov.

Happy that you were able to sort it out.

For reference on how the login system works, kindly check this documentation – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/log-into-woocommerce-com-with-wordpress-com/

In future, if you ever run into an issue with your account, feel free to open an incognito/private browser window then:
    1. Go to the contact us page – https://woocommerce.com/contact-us/
    2. Select “I need help with my account or with a product I purchased on WooCommerce.com.

    3. Then select “Need something else? Contact us!”

There will be a pop-up where you can directly enter your email address.

    Thanks.
