• I have never seen a single plugin that is so much spamming around with notifications, warnings, poor attempts to convince you of purchasing pro versions in kind of an very aggressive way. If that stuff would be to disable, at least. Yes, those guys have to earn money and therefore have to advertise for paid service. But does it have to be in such an aggressive way?

  • Hi @pstimpel,

    Thanks for your review.

We understand that you don’t like to see ads in the free plugin.

Yoast SEO displays a limited set of ads/notifications in specific areas in the backend. For example, when you move a post to trash, Yoast SEO will show a notification suggesting you create a redirect to avoid a 404 error on the deleted URL. This notification will go away when you refresh the page or, alternatively, you can close it by just clicking the X icon in the upper right-hand corner.

These types of ads shouldn’t prevent you from using the plugin normally. That being said, we understand you’d like them to not appear in the backend. The only way to deactivate ads in the Yoast SEO plugin is to modify the plugin code (or use Yoast SEO Premium).

Sorry, but I “like” how you did not read my comment.

Me: “Yes, those guys have to earn money and therefore have to advertise for paid service.”

Me: “I have never seen a single plugin that is so much spamming around with notifications, warnings, poor attempts to convince you of purchasing pro versions in kind of an very aggressive way.”

You: “We understand that you don’t like to see ads in the free plugin. ”

You are the only plugin that puts a red circle on top of my dashboard, just to make me aware of a notification to buy premium.

    Thank you.
