Hi, been using ACU for a while – pretty familiar with it. I’ve just moved a site to wp5.7 and logged in page loads are triggering 30-40 workers and pushing CPU load average to 25 (i.e. 2500% as it’s a single CPU) for about 50 seconds.

With ACU disabled the page loads with 4 active workers and minimal CPU impact.

With ACU running the server become unresponsive for up to 1 minute.

With everything else disabled, and ACU loaded, the page renders without unexpected CPU load.

Seems to be an issue between ACU and another plugin, in the context of WP5.7 (it worked fine until the 5.7 update)

@benoleary indeed, there could be a conflict there, but I’m surprised it all started with WordPress 5.7. I would not have been surprised if you were saying that it was there all along even with older WordPress versions. I can only guess what’s going on there. I assume this is happening when you’re logged-in?! As you’re likely using a caching service and for your guest visitors, it’s not really the case. Can you send me your “System Info” from “Tools” (plugin’s menu) via https://www.gabelivan.com/contact/?

@benoleary as we discussed this issue privately and it looks like the problem is not from Asset CleanUp, I’ll mark this topic as “resolved”. You can continue writing to me privately as I left a reply about the other performance plugins you’re using or leave a note here if you feel that something was missed.
