spam user registration

    Hi,

    I recently noticed ongoing spam user registration on my wordpress site, even though I have “Enable Registration – No” in my RUA User Access Settings (see screenshot) https://tinyurl.com/y88glfxg

    I have two Optin Form on my site: Contact Us and Free eBook. Both of these optin forms send user inquiries directly to my Mailchimp, so I do not think it’s the issue. The only user registration form is located on my Checkout.

    I have contacted my site’s theme developer, but I would like to know if there’s anything I could do within RUA to prevent spam user registration.

    Thank you for reporting this.

    RUA does not add any custom registration functionality and depends on the built-in registration in WP, so if you see the setting as “No”, my guess is that there is another plugin that allows registration despite the WP setting being disabled.
