    Hello, first of all, thank you for your plugin!

    It has been working perfectly, but I disabled emails for all users and error messages show up in red saying “Invalid email address” (although it does insert the users).

    How to disable those warnings and make emails non-mandatory?

    @moacirsantana,

    Emails are required on WordPress. How are you making it not required?

    There are a few codes to disable emails and make the non-mandatory.

    How could I disable mandatory emails in your plugin?

    It inserts the user although it shows that red “invalid email” message.

    You could guide on how to do that, then everything will be perfect.

    This is an official plugin? Or are you changing the WordPress core code?

    I think you can find plugins, but I used some scripts in the functions.php

    So there must be a piece of code in your plugin where you check and make the “email” column mandatory, I just would like to know how to stop that, then everything will work just fine.

    That’d be all.

    Thank you.

    @moacirsantana,

    Sorry but I cannot do it. I will solve your problem and I will create problems in thousends of other users.

    If you tell me “this plugin allows me to do it”, I can check if this plugin is activated and make it not required.

    This would be the correct solution.

    Don’t worry I’m not asking for you to change the plugin itself, just to show me a line in your plugin where emails are mandatory, or a specific function to make it non-mandatory when checking the “email” column, something like that.

    Because somewhere in your plugin you do it.

    I’d be grateful. Thanks.

    @moacirsantana,

    Yes but you cannot change the plugin code because when we will update (we do really often) you would lose this change.

    So the solution I told you is the best for you.

    Ok, got it, I will turn the script that I use into a plugin, the name will be: Users Without E-mail

    how to proceed?

    Sorry I cannot find this plugin in the repository.

    Thread Starter moacirsantana

    (@moacirsantana)

    No, I will create it for myself for this specific case, the name will be Users Without E-mail

    You said that your condition would be “if plugin exists, make emails non-required”

    So, this is the name of the plugin that will be activated to make emails non-mandatory.

    So that you can create this condition, you wouldn’t need the plugin, only its name.

    Got it?

    No, I need to install this plugin in our test site.

    We cannot do an addon for a non-existent plugin.

    Tell me where can I find this plugin in the repository and if it does not exists, you can upload it to the repository.

    Ok, I will create the plugin and provide you so you can test! Thank you.

    I’ll come back in a few days.

    Hello again!

    Here’s the plugin that makes emails a non-required field.

    It’s a very lightweight plugin, less than 1kb, you can download it here:

    Thank you for your help!
