Messages not displayed in Form 7 due to CF7 Form

    @aurovrata Hi I love your plugin (and will review 5 stars!), but have 1 problem.

    First my backend setup:

    – I have contact form 7, version 5.4
    – I have post my cf7 form, version 4.1.11
    – I have wordpress version 5.6.2
    – I have php version 7.5.15

    I have an issue with Form 7 not showing messages (not any at all, not for error or missing fields or successful submission). You can see the yellow or green border lines, but no text. I de-activated all plugins, so I know the issue of not displaying the messages has to do with the Post MY CF7 form – plugin.

    Could you please let me know what to do, or where to go, to install the right versions or other way to resolve the problem?

    And maybe you know: My texts inside the form lines (where you type your answers) are white now (so you cannot see the text due to the white background). It suddenly happened, maybe due to my theme, but maybe you know if it is a more common problem?

    I reckon the text is the same colour as the bg, hence it is not visible

    I tested the plugin on my server and found no issues with it.

    maybe due to my theme,

    most likely. Can you try to chagne your theme to the default WP twentytwenty theme and see if the text appears.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the quick reply. Changed it to twentytwenty. Still the same problem. I also really need the theme to work with the plugin, so luckily the theme seems not to influence it.

    I also deactivated all plugins except form 7 and post my cf7 form. So even my page builder app was deactivated and I created a fresh new page:

    So ONLY form 7 and the post my cf7 form plugin are active. If you deactivate the post my cf7 form plugin, the fields are working, when you activate it: the fields are not working.

    Can we solve this with css? Or another way?

    are you trying to set a custom message by hooking a filter in your functions.php?

    Hi,

    No not that I’m aware of. I literally just have the twentytwenty theme installed, downloaded both plugins, created a page, that’s it.

    I did try to do the following before:

    – create a form, map the answers to custom fields, showcase the custom fields as a new draft post in a custom post type.

    But all of this is deleted/deactivated.

    The issue really is with the plugin as far as I can see, but I don’t have full technological knowlegde
