what image gallery can i use to embed in page easily?

i want to create a page which has a gallery of thumbnails, nothing fancy but which fits in with the wordpress template.

i tried instaling wpg2 with the gallery2, which creates a page link as i require, but it actually shows the entire ‘gallery2’ options, comments, upload picture options, within the page, whereas i just want thumbnails of my images…so its neater

can anyone advise thanks?
