    Hello all,

    I am setting up the payment method for a marketplace. Split method is the one to use for splitting payment and commission to marketplace owner.
    In woocommerce settings>payments, there are these 2 options for stripe:

    1. Stripe – Credit Card (Stripe)
    2. Marketplace Stripe Split Pay – Credit or Debit Card (Stripe)

    If you enable the 1st, it also gives access to manage the payment account keys etc.
    If you enable the 2nd, it is just for enabling the split method.
    So, both should be enabled for stripe split pay to work?

    When both are enabled, at the checkout page, there are 2 different choices for the buyer, which is confusing:
    1. Credit Card (Stripe)
    2. Credit or Debit Card (Stripe)

    I guess by enabling both methods it also returned the 2 choices in checkout.

    Should these both be enabled for split pay to work?
    Why are there 2 choices for the buyer? shouldn’t be just one?
    How do I manage the account if split pay only is enabled?

  • Have you found an answer to your request ? Before I had only Stripe. Now I also have this new “Marketplace Stripe Split Pay”. With the second one the money is immediately sent to the vendor but if the order is refunded, the vendor keeps the money!
    I plan to deactivate this payment method, but I would like to know if it is a problem and why it was introduced.

    Actually no I have not got any answer.

    I currently contacted Stripe and try to solve how to setup the payment system and then see how it will work in the marketplace.
