    Autoptimize already provides an option to set the cache location by defining a constant in the wp-config.php file:

    define(‘AUTOPTIMIZE_CACHE_CHILD_DIR’,’/uploads/autoptimize/’);

    On many decent WordPress hosts (such as Pantheon) they lock down the wp-content directory to be read-only and only allow write access to the wp-content/uploads directory.

    Hey there,

    Thank you for the feedback. Sure, we can add a constant. Will let you know once it’s available.

    Best,
    Shakeeb.

    Marking this as resolved, please re-open if you have anything about it.

    Thank you,
