How to add a quiz start button

I apologize but I didn’t understand your query. If you are adding the quiz shortcode on your website, then it will show up the required page and users will be able to answers the questions.

This is a good point. If using a timer, it begins as soon as the page is loaded. This means that the timer is counting down as the user is reading the page/instructions. I ‘Start Quiz’ button which starts the timer at the same time would be super handy!

If you have all questions on the one page, the timer will begin once the user loads the page. If you are using pagination and do not have a question on the first page, then the timer will begin once the user clicks the “Next” button the first time.

You can use a contact form on the first page, so that the questions will display on the next page.
