Adding information to Invoices and Packing Lists

    Hello,

    My question is twofold, but in both cases I’m trying to add something to a PDF. Both PDFs are created by the Print Invoices and Packing Lists plugin (not to be confused with PDF Invoices and Packing Slips plugin).

    1. I’m trying to add the attribute ‘Location’ to the Pick List. This so we can find the products in the warehouse easier. I’ve contacted SkyVerge, who’ve explained that I should be using the ‘wc_pip_document_table_row_item_data‘ hook (but also mentioned they cannot give more support than that). I don’t know how to add information to the $item_data variable, because I can’t work out how that variable is built up.

    2. I want to add a thank you note to each packing list, can I just echo that in the footer? Or do I need to add it to a special field?

    Are you referring to this extension – WooCommerce Print Invoices & Packing lists?

    I understand that the extension developers have a limitation regarding providing customization help. As this is a premium extension, most of our contributors in this forum do not have access to the codes so we are unable to suggest an exact solution to your desired outcome.

    This is a fairly complex development topic. I’m going to leave it open for a bit to see if anyone is able to chime in to help you out.

    I can also recommend the WooCommerce Developer Resources Portal for resources on developing for WooCommerce.

    You can also visit the WooCommerce Facebook group or the #developers channel of the WooCommerce Community Slack. We’re lucky to have a great community of open-source developers for WooCommerce, and many of our developers hang out there, as well.
