Optimum Setup Storefront for Future Updates & Maintenance

    Our website is a very basic ecommerce for technical digital download documents. With only basic knowledge web design, how should I setup WP, WooCommerce and Storefront (free) so that I can perform updates and maintenance myself:
    (1) is Storefront (free) sufficient?
    (2) I am trying to avoid coding and even child themes – for simplicity of future updates and compatibility.
    (3) recommended plugins (WooCommerce preferred – again for compatibility)
    (4) is there any website examples with Storefront (free) theme for digital downloads?

    If you want to offer digital downloads on your site, then WooCommerce can handle that without any additional plugins. We have a guide for that available right here.

    You can use any theme for your site, which is mostly to determine how your site looks. Storefront is free, but if you prefer a different look, you can use any other theme you like. There are thousands of themes available (both free and paid), and a good place to start would be the WordPress themes repository.
