    Hello!

The way table of content producing links aren’t very similar to other TOC plugins. For your ease here’s the comparison-

TOC in Ultimate Blocks – #17-2-how-to-tie-a-tie
    Other plugins – #How_To_Tie_A_Tie

I am not sure if it’s an industry standard. Did you do the research?

    Thank you!

Hi @jinxerwp! Currently, there’s no officially-defined format for naming anchor links. However, two or more elements sharing the same id/name is illegal HTML according to the current HTML standards. In case the user violates it by adding two or more headings with the same name, all headings after the first instance within the group of duplicates would be unreachable from the ToC.

Adding numbers in front of the heading text is simple. Watching for duplicate heading names before adding those numbers would be more complicated and would slow the editor down when more headings are present.

Thanks for the information. I will do some testing with different plugins to see if there’s any SEO benefit & share the results here. Have a good day!
