“Don’t Replace From Field “option not working

  • Hi, I have two contact forms on my site and I wanted to use two different “from email address” in the forms. For that, I added an alias email address to my SMTP logged-in email and also mentioned it in the Don’t Replace “From” Field.

    But still, all my emails are gone out with the main email address only.

    Can you help me with this?

  • Hi, I am not sure if this will work the way you wanted it too. However what happens if you only use one contact form instead of 2 contact forms?

    Hi, It’s the same for one contact form. Mail is gone out only using the main email address which we used to login to SMTP, not with the alias we created.

    To explain it clearly,

    1) In the Easy WP SMTP setting, I used [email protected] as the username to login into the mail server, and for the same adresss [email protected], I added [email protected] as the alias email address in our mail server.

    2)Then in the Easy WP SMTP additional settings I added the alias email in the ‘Don’t Replace “From” Field’ as it mentioned there that- “this option is useful when you are using several email aliases on your SMTP server. If you don’t want your aliases to be replaced by the address specified in the “From” field, enter them in this field.”

    3) Then in the contact form I used the alias email [email protected] as the From address, but still the email is only gone out with [email protected] itself.

    Is there any way to fix this?

    What about in the From Email Address field under SMTP Settings? What email address did you enter in this field?

    Hi,

    From email address under SMTP settings is: [email protected]

    I tried to put in the alias email address there ( [email protected]), but it led to failure in sending the message.

    We are hosted in Hetzner and the plugin we are using is contact form 7.

    Unfortunately no update on your issue. Can you test a different plugin similar to ours. I am curious to know if a different plugin might work for you.
