Update cart and apply coupon buttons are not working – native theme

    Hi There,
    Update cart button and apply coupons buttons are not working on the WordPress theme that I designed. After testing, I found that there are no plugin-conflicts. When I switch to Storefront theme, the buttons work fine. None of the hyper links work as well. For example, undo, have a coupon?, etc. How to figure out possible issues with the existing theme?

    As this issue only happens when using that specific theme and as WooCommerce works fine while using Storefront theme, you will need to reach out to your theme’s developers for a solution.

    Well, I have designed the theme from scratch. My funtion.php, and all Woocommerce associated files are working fine. Although I am a new in WordPress development, I am closely following the documentation during the development process. Now suddenly my single-product.php stopped working. (It just showing me product description nothing else) Currently, I’m using 4.8.0 version. Is is mandatory to update Woocommerce for avoiding these issues?

    Hi there!

    Building your own theme is impressive ??

    As a theme developer it’s very important to keep all plugins updated and update any file that could be overriding WooCommerce templates, you can check this at WooCommerce > Status > System Status

    With every update, there could be changes like deprecations, template updates, bug fixes etc… An update could also have bugs that would be fixed once discovered, in the next update.

    So in this case, the best is to update your theme to be compatible with WooCommerce latest versions, please check: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-developer-wiki/
