Email is authorised but it still won’t send notifications

I keep getting a banner notifications saying “fix this” as the email address is not authorised, but when I click on “fix this” and get taken to the authorised emails it is showing up.
This has been going on for days now and I have an understandably unhappy client who cannot send notifications.
Can anyone help?
(all updates are done so it is running the current versions)
