Thanks for the interest in our plugin!

If you would like to make rating stars mandatory, please enable the option “Star ratings should be required, not optional” on the “Products” tab of the standard WooCommerce settings.

    Thanks for your answer.
It’s already the case and it always has been checked in my woocommerce settings

Well, then it should work. You don’t need any additional plugin for this. It is a standard WooCommerce feature. Please try to activate any official WooCommerce / WordPress theme (e.g., https://woocommerce.com/storefront/) and check if it resolves the issue.

    Hi,

I got this answer from Woocommerce:

Okay, I have checked your site and it looks like the plugin Customer Reviews for Woocommerce is overriding the default review sections structure that comes with WooCommerce.

In that case, the plugin is responsible to show the star rating on the site.

I will recommend getting in touch with the plugin developer in their forum to get help with their plugin.

My theme is Neve, which is Woocommerce ready (WooCommerce storefront).

    Thanks for providing additional information.

Can you please deactivate our plugin and check if it resolves the issue?

    Hi,

The problem is that for me it is working… So no difference between reviews from your plugin (reply to the email) and reviews without your plugin (directly on the product page). I tried as a logged in user as well as a guest user.

However I noticed that the trusted badges only display on the reviews with the stars. So the reviews without the stars are reviews let by customers directly on the product page.

Sorry, I’m confused now. Can you please share the steps to reproduce the problem?

    Thread Starter toutpourmasante

    (@toutpourmasante)

Whenever people leave a comment directly on the product page, without your plugin, there are no stars.

But when I try on my own, being a logged-in user or not, I cannot reproduce the problem. The stars are displayed.

Maybe you can try. If you let a review on my website: https://toutpourmasante.fr/produit/douleur-sciatique/

    Here are other exemples
    https://toutpourmasante.fr/produit/renforcement-musculaire-chez-soi
    https://toutpourmasante.fr/produit/programme-hernie-discale-lombaire

I can’t find any clue if I inspect the source code of the page

Thanks for providing additional information. I visited the page you shared but it looks like reviews are closed there. Can you please enable them, so that I can try to post a review from the product page?

    Thanks.
It’s ok now you can leave a review now.
I changed some Woocommerce settings to test but it doesn’t resolve the issue.

    Thanks for letting me know.

I’ve just tested posting a review on this page: https://toutpourmasante.fr/produit/douleur-sciatique/. The website didn’t allow me to post a review without a rating. So, I posted a review with a rating. Can you please check if it is saved in the backend with a rating as well?

    Thread Starter toutpourmasante

    (@toutpourmasante)

I can see your review with the rating. I won’t delete it for now, so that you can see: https://toutpourmasante.fr/produit/douleur-sciatique/

To make it more visual, I enabled the trust badge with the icon (CR settings).

I just noticed something strange. When I validated some reviews few days ago, the stars were displayed. But today, there is no stars anymore…

So I am thinking, maybe it is a cache problem. I can’t think of another reason.

    I am using Litespeed cache.
I saw on some wordpress support threads that it can be related to the optimization of JS.

Will see if the same thing will happen with your review.

    Thanks for providing additional information.

It is unlikely to be a cache problem. If you have stars disappearing on existing reviews, something else must be going on your website. Unfortunately, I don’t know what it is because I have no visibility of your website.

Please try to understand what happened before review stars disappeared. That will be the main step to resolve the problem.

Thanks for your help. I deactivated some JS optimisation settings. It looks to be working.. Will see in the future days.
